Community
Yogatrack is part of a thriving community.
The Addison Road Centre (ARC) is Australia’s largest community centre. The full name of the Centre is the Addison Road Centre for Arts, Culture, Community and Environment. Over 200 000 people visit the Centre each year.
Originally barracks for the Army, the Centre has become Australia’s first, largest and longest-surviving community centre.
Since 1976, the ARC has been able to develop a level of economic sustainability sufficient to provide accessible and affordable accommodation to community not-for-profit organisations.
Today the ARC encompasses an extraordinary range of activities in the arts, culture, community and environmental fields.
For example, every Sunday, hundreds of people visit the the Addison Road Marrickville Organic Markets.
Yogatrack has been part of the Addison Road Centre since 2004.
Today, we continue to change and respond to our students evolving needs.
This is consistent with our belief in yoga as a long-term practice, integrated with people’s busy lives and their local community.
